PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES
Brett L. Wittner practices in the areas of bankruptcy, business, estate planning, and immigration. He helps individuals with their debt problems through Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 of the federal bankruptcy code. He also assists client with debt negotiation, debt settlement, loan modification and foreclosure mediation.
Brett has experience working with clients who seek to reorganize their businesses under Chapter 11 to prohibit creditors from collecting on pre-bankruptcy debts, while allowing a company or individual the chance to reorganize existing finances and operations through the use of federal bankruptcy law. He has represented debtors in some of the largest Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases in the state of Washington.
Brett’s bankruptcy knowledge and expertise allows him to represent creditors who seek assistance in filing claims, relief from the automatic stay in order to pursue a secured debt, or representation to contest or litigate the discharge of a debt based upon fraud or other grounds. Brett has experience representing Unsecured Creditors’ Committees in Chapter 11 cases.
Brett also practices in the area of Immigration. He has expertise with fiancée visas, also known as a K-1 visas, marriage-based and family-based permanent resident cards and matters relating to naturalization and citizenship.
Brett has experience in the area of estate planning. He can help individuals with wills, trusts, health care directives, and durable powers of attorney.
EDUCATION
He received his Juris Doctor degree cum laude from Seattle University School of Law in 1997 and received a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Government from the University of Puget Sound in 1992.

PERSONAL
Brett is married to Kelly Wittner. They are the parents of three wonderful children. While not practicing law, Brett enjoys traveling with his family and running marathons and ultramarathons across the United States. He has completed 70 marathons so far, including the Boston Marathon three times.
