PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Jim has handled a majority of the large mergers and acquisitions in the Tacoma-Pierce County area during the last thirty years. Jim worked with individuals and businesses from a diverse client base in the areas of corporate, business and real estate law as well as in sophisticated estate planning. He has significant experience in business and personal counseling, mergers and acquisitions and commercial contracting, as well as a technical knowledge of estate and gift tax laws. Jim also implements complex charitable giving plans for high-net-worth families and business owners.
EDUCATION
Jim attended the University of Oregon earning his B.S. in 1964 and his J.D. in 1967. While attending the University of Oregon, Jim was a Member of Phi Delta Phi, International Legal Society.

Jim is an avid skier and boater and dedicates much of his free time to supporting Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital, Foss Waterway Seaport, the Museum of Glass, and the Tacoma Yacht Club.
