Joshua is a transactional attorney with training in alternative dispute resolution, maintaining active law licenses in Texas and Washington. Joshua began his legal career in the Texas Oil & Gas industry as a Petroleum Field Landman in the Haynesville and Eagle Ford plays. Joshua then moved in-house with a natural gas producer, focusing on leases and royalty ownership in the Barnett Shale and Permian Basin plays.
Joshua took a transactional focus as Legal Counsel of Land Administration at an established energy consulting firm in Houston where he performed real estate due diligence on acquisition and divestiture projects totaling over $1.7B. Later, at just 29 years old, Joshua was named Corporate Counsel of the same firm where he built a legal department from scratch and introduced innovative solutions to contract negotiation while serving as a trusted legal and business advisor to the C-Suite.
After moving to Seattle, Joshua managed legal projects at Microsoft and served as Legal Operations Manager for Esterline Technologies, coordinating the company’s GDPR policy overhaul and implementing the Legal Tracker program.
Immediately prior to joining Morton McGoldrick, Joshua oversaw lease administration for Amazon’s Global Corporate Headquarters in Seattle while working for CBRE.
As his track record proves, Joshua puts the “grit” in Grit City and applies his tireless work ethic to every matter he handles.
Joshua attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with a B.A in Government in 2008. Joshua then earned his J.D. from South Texas College of Law Houston in 2011.
